after the cubs i was about to unleash myself into the unknown,i remember having an uncle named billy whom had a horse and cart and delivered coal whom used to pop around and collect me from coltness road..he taught me a few words when i was out with him "COAL for "HOLE" [lol]. the years between 7 to 10 were the good times, running around the street stealing milk from doorsteps, upsetting the neighbours with my antics, myself and brothers used to steal the bread from door steps and post slices through letter boxes, also a good trick was to go to one door whom had like 5 pints a milk delivered and start swopping everyones milk over[hillarious],neighbours were for ever at the door:-)
the jobs market?,i started young,am sure i had a paper round that i started and packed it in after the first round,i wanted the cash but no way i wanted to work for it,other jobs i tried,i had a little friend in coltness road[come to think of it,my only friend]his dad sold fruit and veg in coltness and i used to sit in his garage packing potatoes into bags, chit job but hey, no one seen me have a "free" weekly buffet:-) and it was pocket money....my dad had a few friends and got me a job delivering parrafin for two guyz, they were right criminals[dodgy as fuck]i used to bang on doors in wishaw, coltness, motherwell, bellshill, got loads a tips:-)
i think i commited my first major crime when i was out with them as they said ok we need to go get some more parrafin,as we arrived at this fuel depot and a pair a bolt cutters came out the van...what the fuk i said, ahh its ok alan young man we lost the keys[ya right]
tune into the next diary["trick or treat"]
