Hey!..whilst it was all good hanging around street corners...boozing,became a habit,i was in and out of pubs and clubs@15 years old,i picked up a pool cue one day & never looked back...yes i was a hustler,and one of the best,i do think back @times and think...wink ma man ya should a stuck to it,i could a been the best,but teenlife took over,i did get to the stage after leaving school to get my ass to work...all my friends worked,earned a wage,so why not
my first visit to the local jobcentre in the 70s was a fukin laugh,now back in them days you walked in,looked on the board at the job cards,picked one up and slammed it on the desk of the asshole in front of you...hey!! i fancy that job,as he took the card from you and called the employer...ok pal away you go ,the employer is expecting you. now i left school with no qualifications and a "stammer" that would a made "elmer fudd" blush"..
so i ended up in an interview for a place called"supercool" a radiator manufacturer in netherton industrial estate...they made and repaired car,truck,bus radiators...due to my age i was on a [Y.O.P scheme]..
youth oppertunities program..21 weeks]..in other words?? "slave fukin labour"..£21 a week,doing the same work as the guy that earned£150 a week for the same job...[fuk you goverment]..the employers treated yer ass like chit!!!...
NOW!!.........that job lasted the full 21 weeks..and normally the employer would ask you in and sign you up full time?..not this money grabbing bastard...he called me into his office,i can still remember the fat bastard sitting there with a huge cigar stuffed in his mouth..ah watson,ive decided to start you again on a yop scheme?? aye. fuk you dude i said....... i hated people talking down to me,i took shit from no one,so out the door i walked...
back into the jobcentre and picked another job card up...........ah..............a salesmans job in carrick furniture house? ok another [y.o.p scheme] but hey i took it...
